Motion as voted upon

In order to support local businesses and help revive the economy in Powys this Council requests that Cabinet considers implementing an initial 2 hour free parking period for all vehicles using all Powys County Council Car Parks, to be reviewed on a 6 monthly basis.

Council also urges the Councilâ€™s Leader and Portfolio Holder for Finance to seek financial assistance from the Welsh Government (via the government-funded schemes emerging to support the economy following the outbreak of Covid 19 Coronavirus) for any loss of income resulting from this measure. Failing that Council to support the use of Reserves money from the underspend in the 2019/20 budget year to support any shortfall.
